Quotations
The quotations below represent the opinions of respondents to the firm survey. These individuals are unrelated to InsideArch. Their opinions are based on their individual experiences and in no way reflect or represent the views of InsideArch or its employees. Other opinions, including contrary opinions, may exist.

"Everyone in the firm seems pretty well-provided-for and happy. The partners of the firm are obviously in the best position, but if you demonstrate knowledge and you stick around for long enough, you'll be working side by side with them."

"The firm does a lot of public structures including parks, libraries, city halls, and courthouses. They are a member of the green building council, and a good portion of the staff, as well as nearly all the buildings they produce are LEED certified. Their designs are not flashy, but generally aesthetically pleasant and appropriate, with an emphasis on quality, community, function, and sustainability."

"Even if it doesn't immediately monetarily profit the firm, ARC supports any motion toward employee enrichment and education. Because of the small size of the firm, communication between the partners, managers, and interns is daily and unbound by hierarchy. This firm takes a very active roll in developing its future leaders, continually encouraging employee education and project involvement."

"The firm is full of talented, excited young people with laid-back easy-going attitudes. Everyone seems reasonably talented and able-minded. What the older firm members lack in technological experience they more than make up in construction knowledge and experience in general. The staff brings about a positive and excited attitude towards the work."

"I liken the firm to a softball team. The partners are the coaches and everyone else is a player on the team. Team spirit is often rallied through group trips to sites, Friday afternoon popsicles or beer, community meetings, or informational luncheons. But a good team isn't all fun and games: everyone works together to improve the quality of work. We work and discuss firm goals openly, and celebrate when those goals are achieved."

"The management of the firm is doing well. I would like to see a little more creativity in design from one project to the next, as well as a little more enthusiasm about the design process. However, the buildings this firm produces are consistently environmentally-friendly, highly-functional, and attractive. There could also be a little more technological organization within the firm. On the other hand, this slight disorganization contributes to the laid-back and comfortable feel of the work place. I know if I make a mistake, it is easily correctable and forgiven. Overall I am pleased with the management of the firm."
