Quotations
The quotations below represent the opinions of respondents to the firm survey. These individuals are unrelated to InsideArch. Their opinions are based on their individual experiences and in no way reflect or represent the views of InsideArch or its employees. Other opinions, including contrary opinions, may exist.

"Partner is the only [position] that is clear cut in terms of responsibility. Everything else can be very confusing (but diverse) regarding role. If you want something, ask for it. That's the only way you will be looked upon favorably and with initiative. But if you ask for too much, you might drown in workload."

"The form does a large spectrum of work for private & public clients."

"During the interview I was told the firm aims to do such quality work that they are recognized & respected by not only the public in general, but especially from its peers. Since I've joined the firm, this attitude seem to ring true in the projects I see go out the door."

"Some [colleagues] are outstanding and willing to mentor and put in extra time, some can't wait for dinner."

"They generally bring out my best."

"Relaxed and at times ambivalent. We do what we must, in the time we have to do it, but not much more."

"[I would tell the management to] slow down and ask the interns what we think. Many decisions especially regarding time and schedule and expectations are decided without interns input. Get the full story before making commitments."

"The management of the firm is steering the ship quite ably."
"One of, if not, the most unorganized and design-lacking firms in Connecticut. You'll spend more time being asked to re-do your own work with bad directions from people who don't even understand the project. I would recommend to possible employee to look for another office. The principals have little experience and less knowledge of good design. This is the ultimate last-resort."

"Super-markets, banks. The Firm is more concerned with making money from clients than making a well-built building."

"They might as well not be architects."

"Everyone watching the clock all day. It feels like time is being wasted all day."

"They are cheap, and that is with wages and supplies and allocating time to projects. They are not designers yet they try to dictate design. A very muddled place indeed!"
